Many promoter member companies such as Microsoft, Ericsson, IBM, Intel, Agere, Motorola, Nokia, and Toshiba, are all included in the Bluetooth Special Interest Group. It is fascinating to know that the developers of this wireless technology initially used the term Bluetooth only as a code name but over a period of time they finally stuck to the name permanently.
